Politeia, our second album, is a play set to music. Two characters, A and C, one aggressive & the other submissive, confront one another’s world views in the midst of a deluge. The Storm Hits is C’s first opportunity to express its deep despair at the world and the need for violent confrontation.
lyrics
It feels me, this storm,
It wrecks my thoughts.
And yet my skin denies me dead.
Reckless seems the youthful plague I
Covet when soaked
In older things. Soak my remiss, soak my meekness.
Were I of subtle mind still I would find
Reproach in such a shower.
There are stains on these hands that
The rain cannot remove, hard as it will,
And so I, small and pallid, must remain
To weather all.
There is something I have to tell you about everything;
Nowadays everybody knows the price of everything
And the value of nothing.

Girlfriends and Boyfriends blend post-punk and new wave sounds with a modern sonic twist and soaring melodies. Adam plays drums for them on occasion as well. The Ludvico Treatment
